Date:2026-06-03

Project Name:Sichuan-Tibet Railway Project Section 15

Project Unit:China Railway 18th Bureau Group Tunnel Engineering Co., Ltd

Project Description:The Sichuan–Tibet Railway Section 15 (CZXZZQ-15 Section) is a key control project on the Ya'an-Nyingchi segment of the Sichuan–Tibet Railway, located in Gongjue County, Chamdo City, Tibet, comprising three tunnels, with the Zila Mountain Tunnel (25,820 meters) and the Gongjue Tunnel (11,631 meters) being the major challenges, characterized by a cluster of ultra-long tunnels, extreme geological conditions, and high-altitude construction environments, making it one of the most difficult sections along the entire railway line.

Geological Condition:High altitude, strong rock bursts, and ultra-hard rock with uniaxial compressive strength exceeding 200 MPa.

Cutter Solution:The TBM hard rock cutters use special cemented carbide as the core material, with optimized composition that enhances wear resistance by 35%, enabling reliable performance in low-temperature and low-pressure environments above 3,500 meters in altitude. The cutter’s core component adopts a 20-inch heavy-duty disc cutter, with an optimized design to reduce vibration and noise during tunneling. Combined with an automatic muck separation system, it effectively lowers construction dust emissions, helping the project team achieve "zero-pollution discharge".

In addition, the Company has integrated its systems with the project’s big data monitoring center, enabling real-time tracking of 12 parameters such as cutter vibration and temperature. This allows prediction of wear trends 48 hours in advance and makes it possible to achieve “replacement on demand” instead of “shutdown due to failure”.

Product Supply:20 inch single disc cutters, 17 inch twin disc cutter, TBM spare parts, on-site cutter shop services.
